LCI won a competition to design and deliver a night-time spectacular for Celebration City in Branson, Missouri. The UK design team were sceptical that they could win the bid, but very pleased that they did.
The show was developed in partnership with the creative team from Herschend Entertainment based in Branson, Missouri in the United States.
A script was then written and developed by LCI’s Creative Director and from this a full concept was created for the audio-visual spectacular and it’s many technical elements.
The final concept featured a spectacular rock backdrop to the unique show. LCI designed and delivered the full show design and technical design, including show systems. The site works and scenic work were completed by local contractors.
The nightly production combined multiple video projections onto the artificial rock surfaces and a water screen with lasers, lighting, pyrotechnics, fireworks and water cannons. The footage was filmed and edited in the UK and featured look-a-likes of well-known celebrities such as Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean.
The show used comedy, nostalgia and emotional references to American culture which built to a spine-tingling finale featuring the American flag, and the music from ‘Independence Day’.
